Description:
The Real Estate Analyst in the Real Estate Capital Markets Group will be responsible for assessing economic trends and analyzing property income and operating expenses in order to underwrite new real estate investments primarily in commercial mortgages.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the underwriting, analysis and negotiation of real estate transactions with senior bankers.
• Perform or assist in site and market inspections, gather and analyze economic and demographic data, become knowledgeable of all relevant market factors affecting rent and derivations of net income and prepare cash flow projections.
• Assist senior staff member in preparing a complete written deal presentations for investment recommendations to the investment committee members.
Applicants should have an academic background in finance, accounting or real estate with two years of related work experience. Strong math and communication skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel, Argus and or other relevant computer valuation software are essential.
This person must be well organized, energetic, capable of performing in a fast paced environment, and have the skills to excel under considerable time pressure.
